Tony checked and informed us that the kitchen had "lost" our ticket and no food had been prepared. He had asked for a "rush" on the appetizers. By now the restaurant seemed fully seated. Our appetizers were served after about another 20 minutes. At about we asked about the status of our main courses. Tony checked and said that the kitchen was now backed up but he would ask for our order to be expedited.
Our main courses were served at about One dish was cold and soggy. When we asked for a manager, one of the floor managers came over. She removed the cold dish and offered to replace within about 20 minutes with a rib-eye prepared medium rare. She said this would take another minutes. We didn't bother to complain about the over-cooked, dry short ribs. The steak was served but by then 3 of us had already finished. By way of compensation, the floor manager credited our bill for the salmon and the short ribs but did charge for the rib-eye that replaced the salmon.
She also comped two desserts. While the comps were appreciated, we found the over-all experience to be underwhelming. Tribeca Grill has been in business for a long time but our experience didn't reflect this. We are all New Yorkers who dine out regularly and one of us worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years.
Based on our experience, we wouldn't be able to recommend Tribeca Grill as a true fine dining experience. We had a nice spacious outside table for 5, and the staff was very accommodating to the people in our group who arrived anywhere from 15 minutes early to 15 minutes late.
The service was good; we loved the ambience; and the food was up to standard. We'll go again next time we're in Tribeca. Max and Vlad were very conscientious and attentive throughout our dining experience- there were truly amazing!!! I would come back soon!
Food as normal exceptionally good, first class service. Went here for my birthday dinner. Took forever to get our drinks and our food. Our server was nice enough when he did come by but but at the end of the meal our Server was texting for 45 mins when we walked over to ask where our cards were. Then when we were leaving another RUDE young server or manager brunette probably 30s not even our server called us disgusting upon walking out, standing there shaking his head at us?
Never felt so disrespected in my life. I will never go back here. The mediocre food and ambiance is not worth it. So glad we chose Tribeca Grill. Such a cool place nd Teddy is a great bar tender. Delicious martini and the food was excellent.
Worth the trip. I'll be back! My wife and I went out and the food was good and very well seasoned but the pork chop was a little dry. Drinks are awful. No excuse at an establishment like this. Old fashioned's taste cheap and are not consistent, pisco drink was all bitters.
Upgrade at the bar needed. Our waiter was amazing. Went to Tribecca Grill for our anniversary. Food was delicious. Only complaint is they threw the food at us. Had 8 PM reservation and was out of restaurant in about a hour with three courses. Great wine list, solid service and good atmosphere; rarely disappoints. Good food. Nice place. Very comfortable. Well priced. Great service and the dessert was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere.
Delicious food. Great service. Overall fantastic! Tribeca Grill needs to be on top of your NYC go-to list. Three of us shared a few smaller plates and 2 large plates.
Not one dish disappointed. We started with the the guacamole with chips for a little snack. Next we shared a small order of campanelle with garlic shrimp. The pesto was creamy but a bit cool, so We asked for it to be heated up a tiny bit and the result was perfect. The 2 shrimps were large and incredibly tender. Next came the truffle crusted salmon and the pan roasted Amish chicken.
Incredible, crispy skin, delicious perfectly cooked breast and thigh, presented almost completely deboned. One of the very best roasted chicken dishes in town. The salmon was also very good. The truffle flavor was just right; subtle and not over powering. The fish was cooked perfectly cooked and was moist and tender. We also shared the Burrata with heirloom tomatoes, the fries, and my favorite onion rings.
They are called crispy jumbo but they are actually not big and fat but sliced very thin resulting in a much better onion ring. The servers were warm and friendly and the pace was great. The wine list is excellent, you can find something delicious in every price range.
Finally, just as we were about to leave, a manager came by and thanked us for having a private party there 15 years ago! That is a good computer system that alerted them about something we did there years ago, and they were still appreciative all these years later. This was my second time in a month dining at Tribeca Grill. And it was another amazing meal. The swordfish was absolutely phenomenal - melted in my mouth. I have a good appetite.
