Denver orthopaedic trauma fellowship
The foot and ankle fellowship at University of Colorado Hospital and Steadman-Hawkins Denver is designed to educate the fellows in all aspects of the management of orthopedic lower extremity conditions including nonoperative and operative treatment. The fellow is assigned specifically to foot and ankle staff physicians in a one-on-one apprenticeship style.
The goal of the fellowship is to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of upper extremity hand, wrist, elbow including evaluation, surgery, and rehabilitation.
The primary goal of the program is to create an educational experience that will lead to the development of well-rounded and competent surgeons. CU Sports Medicine is pleased to offer two 1-year post-graduate experiences in orthopaedic sports medicine and shoulder surgery.
Our mission is to train academically interested future leaders in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. This fellowship is an ACGME-accredited program that uses a mentorship approach to provide an educational experience that focuses on management of non-operative and operative athletic disorders.
It is our goal to ultimately produce excellent, independent orthopedic sports medicine physicians. Denver Health is a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma center dedicated to excellence in trauma care, education, and research.
The Orthopedic Trauma Research Fellowship began in with the goal of developing the future leaders of the field through an immersive research experience. Research fellows are tasked with attending our daily fracture conference, developing novel research projects, performing data collection, and authoring manuscripts, literature reviews, and book chapters.
All candidates for this research fellowship position must be able to lawfully work in the United States and have a minimum of an undergraduate degree. Applications are due by March 1st of each year.
