Denises restaurant london

A group of 3, ordered 3 starters and 3 mains. The waiter took our orders, came back 3 times to ask for our orders again and again, and still missed out my starter. We were also asked if we wanted some bread, which we said yes given that we ordered soup and pate for starters. We were given some soggy and semi-cold cheesy garlic bread, needless to say, at extra cost.

Overall, the quality of the food was poor. When the bill came, the service charge was already included and I paid accordingly to keep the peace. Shockingly, the waiter asked me for extra tips in cash several times! The restaurant was mostly visited by tourists on the night.

The food wasn't great. Service was good. Too expensive for what it is. The restaurant has potential but the food is really letting it down! This is the second time we have had our Rhodes Reunion here and it won't be the last. Such a great choice of food. All freshly prepared.

Service outstanding. I would be happy to eat here every day we had a wonderful evening food wonderful service wonderful the only thing that could improve Denise's if they played some french accordian mucic. Right place if you want to spend a lunch or a dinner with your friends, good french cousine and lovely atmosphere.

We have been visiting Denise's for over 12 years and eat here when we are in London on business , theatre or visiting family. Excellent value good choice and very good service.. Love this venue; food superb, service just as superb. Bit noisy this time due to boisterous private party so did not enjoy a much but will return nevertheless. To good a restaurant not to. I would recommend to anyone looking to take a date. Parisian decor, great food and Denise's friendly atmosphere make it a classy place to take anyone.

Firstly, the map on TopTable is wrong. Finally arrived at an almost empty restaurant, and was seated right inside the door, on the window covered in old dated review stickers The only reason you would seat people in the window of an empty restaurant is to make it look busy. The seated the next two groups in the windows as well. Menu long. Too long to do anything justice. My veal sauce was watery rather than creamy, although the veal itself was cooked nicely. Half the salad on the warmed plate was was also covered by the hot sauce I asked what the house red was, where had it come from?

Only to be dismissively told it was "from France". No varietal, no region, just had the waiter turn his back on me. Plastic tablecloths, cramped yet empty restaurant. Would not recommend.

Husband said it was like a French country bistro in styling, but nowhere near the quality - yet it charged inflated London prices. This was very disappointing. The quality of the food was very average but the bill was not - very high. The staff were willing and friendly but ha do idea about how to serve e.

The food ingredients e. It was a very disappointing experience overall. A good value restaurant for lunch in central London, A good range of typical French dishes on the a la carte menu. Fresh tasting food, well served. Restaurant is very similar decor to a 's Angus steakhouse. Service was good very nice helpful staff.

My food was enjoyable although nothing special for whar is billed as a French restaurant. My boyfriends chicken chauserre was dreadful bland generic tomato sauce with micro veg. I had a French grandmother she would be turning in her grave at this food. Stale looking desserts in a hostess trolley not very appetising.

Was nice as we could sit outside on a lovely day but that was about it. Love this venue; food superb, service just as superb. Bit noisy this time due to boisterous private party so did not enjoy a much but will return nevertheless.

Was nice as we could sit outside on a lovely day but that was about it. Certainly wouldn't return. A group of 5 of us dined here on 31st May The service was excellent from the time we arrived until we paid the bill.

All food portions were large n well presented.. We will return. Dinner is reasonbly priced and the menu has a large selection.

The service is excellent and owner is on site. Overall, the food was only OK. Chicken dishes were dry and all the food had minimal seasoning. Very nice French meal with attentive service - we will be back!! The food was better than expected, and the portions really large. It was very busy on a Friday night. Good value. Denise's restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, very good service and good food, the plate of mussel's were fresh and there was a huge portion of them in a lovely sauce.

The chicken chassuere was very nice indeed, the selection of vegetables which accompanied it were a bit meagre, one peice of cauliflower and one peice of broccoli with fries, but all in all a very satisfactory feed. Very nice wine too. Simply the best! Unpretentios dining in a functional setting. Nothing fancy about this place it is all about the food and how it did not disappoint!

Having lived with a local Hyderabadi and sampled the delights of south Indian cookery this was a welcome find and will definitely return. Booking multiple rooms? Visit our group bookings page.
