Cleveland cavaliers jonny flynn
Brian Windhorst of The Plain Dealer reports that one potential target is second-year point guard Jonny Flynn, currently a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Flynn connection could have many different folds.
The Cavs have long been looking for a point guard and Flynn is one of the younger, more promising point guards in the league. Drafted sixth overall in the NBA Draft, Flynn averaged over 13 points and four assists for the Timberwolves in approximately 29 minutes per game. Starting all 81 games in which he played, Flynn averaged between 12 and 14 points through every month of his rookie season. He really good in his two seasons at Syracuse, averaging He then declared for the NBA Draft.
Along with PG Ricky Rubio , who Minnesota took one pick before him, they were supposed to star together for years to come in the Twin Cities once Rubio came over from Spain. That never materialized and they never played together. He started all but one game for the Timberwolves that season and averaged His performance earned him All-Rookie Second Team honors. His performance also got him named to the Rookies team for the Rising Stars Challenge game. But I am afraid that is where the good stuff ended.
